  • PowerPoint files will not show up with iView catalog reader. To view them use the "show media file" tool to navigate to an explorer window.
  • Not all photos and templates will be attractive in your cultural setting. However, with the robust variety your congregation should be happy with many.
  • This Users Guide is written with the Windows OS in mind. However, the iView functionality is virtually identical on the Mac platform.
  • The thumbnails in iView are set to a small size because some users may be on a low resolution monitor. The thumbnails can be increased in size by Clicking on the '+' icon in the top right corner of iview.
  • The latest version of iView Catalog reader may be found at www.iviewmultimedia.com

Parts in the Design Kit

Background Templates

These are PowerPoint templates with only the backdrops included. To turn them into a presentation, you will probably want to put figures, design elements and text on top of the backdrops.
Masked Foreground Templates
PowerPoint File: *.ppt
These are PowerPoint templates with only the foregrounds included. To turn them into a presentation, you will probably want to put figures behind the holes in the foreground and design elements and text on top of the foregrounds.
Natural Figures
Photo File: #####.jpg
These are generic and non-generic figures that remain preserved on their original natural backgrounds. They are ideal for dropping behind masked foreground templates. They can also be custom edited with photo editing software.
Soft Edge Figures
Photo File: #####_se.png
These are generic and non-generic figures that have soft edges around the figure. They are ideal for dropping on top of background templates.
Cut Out Figures:
Photo File; #####_he.png
These are generic and non-generic figures that have hard edges around the figure. They are ideal for dropping on top of background templates.
Movies:

sing Design Kit

Step One - Finding Design Kit
With the catalog index open, Click the little triangle to the left of the word Design Kit. This will rotate the triangle clockwise 90 degrees and open up the directory for the Design Kit (if you Click the triangle again it will rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise and close the directory).

Step Two - Drilling Down into the Directory

Click on the same triangle again in order to close that sub catalog. When you arrive at the desired level, the photos will appear in the main window. There are many ways of sorting through the figures including sorting by character name, model name, emotions, and action.
Tip: try to close the categories that youre not using to keep the catalog index uncluttered.

Step Three - Viewing the Photos
Find the three tabs at the top of the window just to the right of the catalog index. Click on the tab to change the view. For example, Click list for a written description of each file. Or Click thumbnail for a small photo of each of the files. Or Click media for a full-size photo or if there is video of each of the files.

Step Four - Inserting Pictures into PowerPoint
Open iView and PowerPoint and resize them so you can see both on the monitor at the same time.

Hold the left mouse button down on the photo you wish to insert.

Drag the photo over into the PowerPoint window and release.

Tip: Use caution when using a lot of png files. These are memory intensive and too many may cause PowerPoint to slow down or even go into a "hiccup" mode.

For further detailed instructions in how to use PowerPoint, refer to your PowerPoint manual.

Opening in Photo Editing Software
From open window Click photo thumbnail you wish to work with.

Click show media file on the tool bar.

In the new window right-Click on photo to open up a pop-up menu.

Click Open with Photoshop (or whatever Photo editing software you may have installed).

Edit photo and save.

Bonus: Although Bible Graphics Studio is primarily designed for the graphic illustrations of sermons the backgrounds can easily be used for Worship Backgrounds in PowerPoint, Easy Worship, MediaShout, or Sunday Plus, provided that the media content is stored on an internal or external hard drive.
